NTT - NTT Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) mapped out four drug-prone areas in the island-based province.
"According to an index survey of drug-prone areas (IKRN), there are four villages/kelurahan in NTT which are classified as drug-prone areas," said BNNP NTT Coordinator for Prevention and Community Empowerment (P2M) Lia Novika Ulya, in Kupang, Wednesday, February 26, confiscated by Antara.
The four areas include Fatululi Village, Oebobo District in Kupang City, Labuan Bajo Village, Komodo District in West Manggarai Regency, Silawan Village, East Tasifeto District in Belu Regency, and Matawai Village, Waingapu City District in East Sumba Regency.
He said the four vulnerable areas were categorized as level IV or dangerous.
The determination of the level has been reviewed based on the main indicators and supporting indicators and has been verified by the Intelligence of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency.
"BNNP NTT makes the four areas the main priority of intervention in the context of recovering drug-prone areas," said Lia.
The intervention efforts carried out by his party are through the Prevention, Eradication, Abuse, and Drug Dark Circulation (P4GN) program.

Furthermore, he said Fatululi Village was the closest area to be directly intervened by the NTT BNNP because of the same locus in Kupang City, while Silawan Village in Belu Regency would be directly intervened by the Belu Regency BNN.
Meanwhile, in the other two areas, Labuan Bajo Village and Matawai Village, because there are no BNN branches in West Manggarai and East Sumba, long-distance (online) interventions will be carried out while collaborating with local agencies or communities.
"Although the geographical constraints of NTT are very wide, we remain committed to reaching the four areas in order to intervene comprehensively in P4GN," he said.
BNNP NTT, he added, will continue to synergize and collaborate with related agencies in carrying out P4GN efforts in the NTT region.
He also invited people in each region to care and be active in creating an environment that is clean from drugs.
