Polda Metro Disbursed The Results Of Disclosure Of Hundreds Of Street Crimes, Dozens Of Viral Cases Left

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police explained the results of the disclosure of street crime cases that occurred during the January 2025 period to date. A total of 103 cases have been revealed by naming 220 suspects.

"Polda Metro Jaya, especially the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation, has succeeded in uncovering a total of 103 cases," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Wira Satya Triputra to reporters, Wednesday, February 26.

Hundreds of these cases, with details, 35 criminal acts of theft with weight or stealing; 15 cases of theft with violence or theft; 10 cases of motor vehicle theft; 2 cases of extortion; 3 cases of murder; and 29 other cases.

Then, of all the cases that have been revealed, 220 people have been named as suspects. Of these, some of them are minors.

"The suspects we managed to secure were a total of 220 people, with details of 210 men, then 5 women, and four people who were still in the category of minors," he said.

Wira said that of the hundreds of cases that had been revealed, some of them were in the spotlight, one of which was a mugging that took place in the Ciputat area, South Tangerang.

The mugging action was carried out by the suspect with the initials MAF alias B (23). It started when the victim WSA was driving on a motorbike to return home. Suddenly, the victim was grabbed by the suspect who then immediately pulled his bag.

"The suspect pulled the victim's bag until it fell, until the victim finally died," he said.

Shortly after the incident, the suspect was arrested. From the examination, it turns out that MAF alias B has carried out similar actions several times on the same day.

"When we investigated the perpetrators on the same day on February 15, the perpetrators carried out the action 4 times," said Wira.

On the other hand, Wira also said that there were dozens of other cases that went viral on social media. Currently, his party is still trying to gather evidence and clues to uncover the case.

"With this viral case there are 50 cases, and of course this is our commitment and concern to uncover this case as soon as possible," said Wira.
