Motorcycle Thief Falls While Hiding In The Convection Ceiling, Attacked By Residents Until Pinched Into The Door

JAKARTA - A motorcycle thief was caught by residents while trying to pry out a Honda Beat motorbike belonging to a resident on Jalan Madrasah 1, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta on Tuesday, February 25, at around 13.30 WIB.

The perpetrator was shouted at by residents and fled to the roof of a resident's house. The perpetrator jumped from the roof of one and another around the location.

Then the perpetrator hid in the ceiling of a convection house located at the end of Madrasah 1 Street. Apparently the perpetrator's escape was successful. The reason is, the residents who chased him had lost track of the perpetrator.

But unfortunately, the roof of the ceiling where the perpetrator was hiding suddenly broke down and the perpetrator fell down. At the same time, Nurhidayat managed to find out, a local resident.

"He had run away, via the ceiling. Residents had searched but were not found. Suddenly the perpetrator fell from the ceiling and hid behind the door," said Nurhidayat to VOI at the scene.

The perpetrator was arrested after residents pushed the door, until the perpetrator's body was pinched by the door.

"I flip with the door. Then I will be executed by the residents," he said.

According to Nurhidayat, the perpetrator stole a motorbike on Jalan madrasa 1.

"The owner of his motorbike is a resident of RT 07. If the perpetrators don't know which residents," he said.

Furthermore, the residents were arrested and had become the target of the masses. The perpetrator was then tied up with his feet and hands using a rope from a cloth.

Luckily, the judiciary action was suppressed after members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Duren Sawit Police arrived at the scene.

The perpetrator was then taken to the Duren Sawit Police by motorbike by a member of the Criminal Investigation Agency.
