DPR Welcomes The Launch Of BPI Danantara: A More Independent National Economic History Milestone

JAKARTA Member of Commission VI DPR RI, Kawendra Lukistian, welcomed the launch of the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) by President Prabowo Subianto today, Monday, February 24. According to him, this initiative is a strategic step that will lead Indonesia to economic independence.

The launch of the Danantara is a milestone in efforts to build a more independent and competitive national economy.

"With initial funding of USD 20 billion, Danantara will be a catalyst for the growth of leading sectors, including green energy and high technology-based industries," said Kawendra in Jakarta, Monday, February 24.

Kawendra assessed that with Danantara, Indonesia has a great opportunity to reduce dependence on foreign investment and increase the competitiveness of the domestic economy. According to him, this is in accordance with President Prabowo's message that Indonesia is an independent country standing on its own feet.

This is not only a matter of investment, but also about building a strong and sustainable economic foundation. Danantara will ensure that the resources we have can be managed optimally for the benefit of the people," said the Gerindra legislator.

It is known that President Prabowo Subianto officially launched the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) today, Monday, February 24. BPI Danantara as a sovereign wealth fund which aims to manage state assets worth more than USD 900 billion.

President Prabowo in his remarks emphasized that Danantara will focus on investment in strategic sectors, including renewable energy, advanced manufacturing industry, and food production.

With a national economic growth target of 8 percent per year, Danantara is expected to be the main engine in sustainable economic transformation.

In line with this vision, Danantara will manage various projects with the principles of transparent and professional governance, in order to ensure maximum benefits for the national economy.

With this launch, Indonesia affirms its commitment to accelerate economic transformation and become a major player in an increasingly competitive global economy.
