With Orange Vest, Hasto Kristiyanto Was Detained By The KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially detained the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto. Forced efforts were made after the politician was questioned as a suspect since 10:00 WIB

From observations in the field, Hasto was seen wearing an orange vest and his hands were handcuffed after undergoing examination. He was finished being questioned by investigators at around 18.08 WIB, Thursday, February 20.

Hasto Kristiyanto has complied with the summons of KPK investigators as a suspect in the bribery case for the interim replacement process (PAW) for members of the DPR RI and the obstruction of the investigation. He stated that he was ready to be detained.

"Yes, (if detained, red) is ready physically and mentally," said Hasto at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, February 20.

As previously reported, the anti-corruption commission developed an interim bribery case (PAW) that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku. Two people were later named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.

Hasto is also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.
