Kohod Village Head Becomes Suspect Of Forgery Of Deeds, Kortas Corruption Starts Investigating Allegations Of Corruption

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipikor) of the National Police has begun investigating allegations of corruption in a series of cases of issuance of Building Use Rights (HGB) and Marine fence Ownership Certificates (SHM) in Tangerang Regency waters.

The investigation process was carried out shortly by the village head (Kades) of Kohod, Arsin, and three other people were named suspects in the case of alleged forgery of land deeds.

"Sudah penyelidikan," ujar Wakil Kepala Kortas Tipikor Polri Brigjen Arief Adiharsa kepada VOI, Rabu, 19 Februari.

Regarding the progress of the investigation, Arief did not provide details. It is only mentioned that the data verification stage has been carried out.

Meanwhile, the witness examination process has not yet been carried out. The reason is that this will be done in line with the development of the handling of the alleged corruption.

"If the verification stage investigation. Not yet to witness examination. And this week it has been carried out," said Arief.

Previously, the Kortas Corruption Police began to investigate the alleged riot behind the installation of a sea fence in the waters of Tangerang Regency.

The Head of Corruption Crime, Inspector General Cahyono Wibowo, said that the indications of alleged corruption in this case began with the investigation into the case of forgery of land deeds investigated by the Directorate of General Crimes (Ditipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

"We received a letter from Pidum explaining any indications of corruption. Then, we have invited Pidum and discussed it," said Cahyono

From this coordination, indications of alleged corruption were found. However, Cahyono stated that Kortas Corruption is still investigating the allegations to collect various clues and information needed in handling this case.

"There is indeed that fact, but we also need to explore it. And now in the process, we are still conducting a study," he said.
