Finally Respond To The KPK's Call Today, Mbak Ita: Please Pray

JAKARTA - Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti and her husband who is also the Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java Provincial DPRD, Alwin Basri finally fulfilled the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today, Wednesday, February 19. Both will be questioned as suspects.

Mbak Ita arrived separately with her husband. She was present at around 09.25 WIB at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

The PDIP politician seemed to cover his head with a white Pashmina cloth and wore the same dredged shirt. He made not many statements before entering the building.

"Just pray," said Ita, holding her hand in front of her chest to reporters at the location.

Meanwhile, her husband, Alwin Basri arrived at around 09.32 WIB. He admitted that he was ready to undergo the legal process at the anti-corruption commission.

"Yes, according to the law," he said as he rushed.

Ita and her husband were actually summoned on Tuesday, February 11. However, they were not present at the fourth summons because Mbak Ita suddenly admitted that she had to be hospitalized.

Even so, Ita was caught attending a wedding or invitation on Sunday, February 16 yesterday. This moment was uploaded to his Instagram account, @munitasmg.

Previously reported, the KPK had detained two suspects in a corruption case within the Semarang City Government (Pemkot), Central Java on Friday, January 17. They are Martono who is the Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gapensi) of Semarang City and Rachmat Djangkar.

Martono was detained for allegedly participating in receiving gratuities together with the Mayor of Semarang Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu alias Mbak Ita and her husband, Alwin Basri who also serves as Chairman of Commission D of the Central Java Provincial DPRD.

Meanwhile, Rachmat was detained for allegedly giving bribes related to the procurement of tables and elementary school chairs at the Semarang City Education Office.

Currently, there are three allegations of corruption that allegedly occurred and are being investigated. The details are the procurement of goods and services at the Semarang City Government in 2023-2024, the alleged extortion of civil servants related to incentives for collecting taxes and levies in the Semarang City area as well as the alleged receipt of gratuities in 2023-2024.
