West Java Regional Head Will Take A Bus Together When Departing For Magelang Follow The Retreat

JAKARTA - The elected Mayor of Bandung Muhammad Farhan said regional heads from West Java will go together to take action in Magelang, Central Java on Friday, February 21. They took the bus led by the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi.

"Wow, it's fun if West Java. On Friday, the handover was completed and the DPRD plenary meeting of all West Java regional heads was led by the Governor and immediately took a bus to Magelang," Farhan told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, February 17.

Farhan said this method was done to build togetherness. "Especially the regional head in West Java who is in one agglomeration," said the former radio host.

Furthermore, Farhan responded casually to the implementation of the regional head's treatment which was highlighted by the public. This is because the activity was carried out in the midst of the efficiency instructed by President Prabowo Subianto.

According to him, criticism is a common thing. "Good, that means our country is still democratic," he said.

As previously reported, the regional head treatment will be carried out from February 21 to 28, 2025 or for eight days. This activity is fully financed by the State Budget through the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The decision is contained in the Circular Letter (SE) of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 200.5/692/SJ issued Thursday (13/2) afternoon addressed to governors and deputy governors, regents and deputy regents, as well as mayors and deputy mayors throughout Indonesia. The regulation also revises SE Number 200.5/628/SJ which had regulated financing through the regional budget (APBD).

Hasan explained that the retret financing by the Ministry of Home Affairs was due to the reconstruction after the budget structure at the ministry experienced efficiency.

"From the regional governments, they actually already have a routine fee to collect from the elected regional head. The initial plan was cost sharing. But after the reconstruction of the budget with a new formula, the Ministry of Home Affairs was finally able to bear all the costs of the retreat in Magelang," Hasan said.
