JAKARTA - The United States has not stopped its military aid for Ukraine, with Kyiv producing howitzers to its own drones at the same time, a senior Ukrainian Parliament official said, but did not rule out the possibility of seeking more help from European countries.

The signing of an executive order to postpone US aid by President Donald Trump shortly after his inauguration raises questions about Washington's assistance in areas ranging from health to the military to various countries and institutions, including for Ukraine, which is still at war against Russian aggression.

"Military assistance from the United States has not been cut. So we are still getting supplies. Of course, we need to understand what we can get in the future to have long-term planning. But so far, we are getting supplies," said Ukrainian Parliament Deputy Yevheniia Kravchuk in an interview on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2025, Saturday 15 February.

He further explained that currently Ukraine produces 40 percent of its military needs alone, 30 percent comes from the United States and another 30 percent from allies in Europe.

According to him, a third of the nearly a third of military aid used by Ukrainian troops on the battlefield comes from the US.

Some of them cannot be replaced with others, such as the Patriot system.

"It's the only air defense system that can intercept ballistics. We have a patriot who works very quickly and it's like 10 missiles fired," he explained.

He further said that if Washington stopped providing supplies of military aid, Ukraine would need to increase its own production.

"And we do produce howitzers of 155 caliber. We do produce many drones, millions of drones, deep strikes, FPVs, marine drones," he said.

"But we will also seek more help from European countries," he added.

Kravchuk said it agreed with President Trump's statement that Europe should step in more.

"We agree that this is security in the European continent, but at the same time, the weapons that the United States has given us are produced in the United States. This is part of the economy. This is a workplace, factories that employ a lot of Americans. So, this is not something that doesn't benefit America's economy either," he said.

Kravchuk also revealed that Britain recently announced a record aid package for this year, which amounts to 4.5 billion, the largest package London has ever provided so far.

"We also have excellent alliances with Nordic countries. And special leaders are Denmark who have invested in Ukrainian military production for more than a billion euros. That is a good way to go forward, not just to buy weapons produced in Europe," he said.

He added, "Investing in joint military production or production in Ukraine, is cheaper. It will be faster through the front lines. And we have engineers and technology experts to solve it," concluded Kravchuk.

Quoted from CNN Indonesia, Ukraine is in the first position in the countries receiving US foreign aid which reached 17.2 billion US dollars. Behind it are Israel (US 3.3 billion), Jordan (1.7 billion US), Egypt (1.5 billion US) and Ethiopia (1.5 billion US).
