JAKARTA - The deputy commander of the UN Temporary Forces force in Lebanon was injured after a convoy carrying peacekeepers to Beirut airport was attacked.

Lebanese news agency NNA reported Home Affairs Minister Ahmad al-Hajjar called for an emergency meeting before Saturday afternoon to discuss the security situation.
He reiterated the refusal of the Lebanese government to an attack deemed a crime against UNIFIL forces, NNA reported on Saturday, February 15.
The Minister of Home Affairs also gave instructions to try to identify the perpetrators and refer them to the relevant judicial authority.
