Minister Of State Secretary Reveals Retreatment Of Regional Heads Funded By APBN Not APBD

JAKARTA - State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi revealed that the regional head's retreat will be funded by the state budget. The 2024 regional head election will be held at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java (Central Java).

That way, according to him, the activity does not take costs from the regions or through the APBD. According to him, the APBN used for these activities comes from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

"Everyone uses the APBN, at the Ministry of Home Affairs," said Prasetyo after attending a press conference on budget efficiency at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday.

For this reason, according to him, no regional head uses his personal funds for the region head's treatment activities. So that no regional head should have transferred the costs for the activity.

Previously, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto conveyed that regional heads after being sworn in in Jakarta on February 20, 2025, would then undergo treatment at the Magelang Military Academy (Akmil) complex.

According to him, the activities that will be used as briefing for elected regional heads will be held for a week, on February 21-28, 2025. According to him, there have been 189 tents installed for 481 regents and mayors and 33 governors who will undergo the retreat.

Previously, the DPR had agreed that the inauguration of regional heads as a result of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections would be held on February 20, 2025 in Jakarta. The inauguration of regional heads will also be held in Jakarta because the presidential decree (Keppres) regarding the relocation of the capital city to IKN Nusantara has not yet been issued.
