Wife's Heartache Invited By Mesum, Cooperative Employees Beset With Kerambit

DENPASAR - A man with the initials AA (23) from West Java, carried out persecution of a cooperative employee with the initials AS (41) from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The perpetrator carried out the persecution because the victim was suspected of sending indecent or obscene messages to the victim's wife.

"The modus operandi is that it is suspected that the perpetrator is emotional when he sees his wife's betel WhatsApp with the victim," said Head of Public Relations of Denpasar Police AKP I Ketut Sukadi, Wednesday, February 12.

The incident occurred at the perpetrator's boarding house on Jalan Jayagiri, Sumerta Kauh Village, East Denpasar District, Denpasar City, on Monday (10/2) at around 22.00 WITA.

Initially the victim received a WhatsApp message from his customer or the perpetrator's wife and asked for help to come to his boarding house. The husband of the perpetrator, who knew the contents of the WA message, then approached the cooperative employee at the boarding house.

The perpetrator showed his wife a WA message. There the perpetrator hit the victim.

The perpetrator then took out a kambit or a twisted knife and slashed it in the victim's face.

"Furthermore, the victim contacted his brother and was taken to the hospital along with Pecalang for the incident reporting to the East Denpasar Police," he added.

The perpetrator's wife told the police that the victim, aka a cooperative employee, sent a message to have sex. At that time, the perpetrator's wife intended to borrow Rp1 million.

"The victim suffered lacerations to the temple and forehead on the left and received 27 stitches," he said.

During interrogation with the police, the perpetrator admitted to assaulting the victim using a sharp weapon of the type of shipwreck that was felt on the victim's face three times.

"The perpetrator got a sharp weapon of the type of shipwreck by buying it via Facebook and the perpetrator carried out the persecution alone," he said.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution with a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison.
