KPK Submits 153 Evidence Of Letter, Hasto Kubu: 80 Percent Copy, Defect From Formil

PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said that most of the proof of the letter submitted by the Legal Bureau of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to the pretrial single judge was the result of duplication from the data that had been copied.

The KPK is estimated to have submitted 153 pieces of evidence in the pretrial letter for the legal lawsuit of the determination of the suspect in the interim replacement bribery (PAW) case of the DPR RI.

"We see that of the 153 who presented this, around 80 percent copy of the copy," said Hasto Kristiyanto's attorney, Ronny Talapessy, to reporters, Monday, February 10.

Referring to the expert's statement that has been presented, the evidence that is the result of duplication from a copy cannot be accepted by the judge. Thus, Ronny claimed that the BAP from the KPK had been formally flawed.

"That the formal defects from the BAP-BAP are already visible," he said.

That conclusion, said Ronny, was not only from one mistake. But there are others such as cutting the BAP or not showing it completely. Then, the existence of an unsigned BAP. In fact, valid documents usually have to have signatures in every page.

"There is a BAP that is initialized, what does it mean? Every pro- justitia BAP, which is legitimate before the law, of course, must be challenged to handle, that's usually like that in practice, each sheet is usually shared, but what we meet is that some are not initialized," said Ronny.

Hasto is known to have been named a suspect in the alleged case of interim replacement bribery (PAW) which also ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku.

Not only Hasto, but the KPK has also named Donny Tri Istiqomah, who is a PDIP cadre and a lawyer as a suspect.

In fact, in its development, the KPK has also named Hasto as a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. The PDIP Secretary General is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.

After becoming a suspect, Hasto's camp filed a pretrial lawsuit. This case is registered with case number 5/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL.
