Many Complaints, Chairman Of Commission X DPR Encourages Evaluation Of The Implementation Of SNBP

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission X DPR RI Hetifah Sjaifudian encourages an evaluation of the implementation of the National Selection Based on Achievements (SNBP) as a whole. This is done so that registration for students who want to register for college through the SNBP route does not experience a spike in complaints in the years to come.

"Learning from this year's experience, the ministry needs to coordinate earlier with the education office to ensure that the implementation of the SNBP runs more in an orderly manner. One of the main things that must be addressed is school order in filling in basic data as a source of School and Student Database (PDSS)," said Hetifah, Saturday, February 8.

"This is an important note that must be socialized to schools and agencies," he continued.

Hetifah reminded that data filling cannot be done in a hurry before the deadline. Therefore, he asked for a more stringent mentoring mechanism, including periodic checks and online weekly training for school operators and education offices.

"With routine assistance from the start, we can ensure that the incoming data is more valid and there are no problems approaching the registration deadline," said Hetifah.

The Golkar legislator said that Commission X of the DPR RI is ready to oversee the improvement of this system in order to create a more transparent and fair selection of universities.

On the other hand, Hetifah appreciated the government for providing the opportunity to extend student data registration time to PDSS until Saturday, February 8, today. He also appealed to schools to take advantage of the opportunity.
