Megawati was present with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani who is also her daughter and her son Mohamad Rizki Pratama as well as DPR member Ahmad Basarah and former North Sulawesi Governor Olly Dondokambey.

The meeting closed with the gift of souvenirs for the painting of Mother Maria berbaya which was brought specifically by Megawati from Jakarta. Meanwhile, Puan Maharani gave souvenirs in the form of puppet clothes made from traditional Indonesian batik.

"The Pope looked very happy to get the souvenir and thanked Megawati and Mbak Puan Maharani," said Basarah.

During Pope Francis' visit to Indonesia, late last year received a warm welcome from all citizens even though Indonesia is known as the largest Muslim country in the world.
