Ukraine Receives F-16 Fighter Plane From The Netherlands, Seegera Operates In Battlefield

JAKARTA - Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said the Netherlands had sent American-made F-16 fighters to Ukraine.

The plane, along with French Mirage jets, will soon begin carrying out combat missions, strengthening our defenses, Umerov said on Facebook.

The Ukrainian military is currently strengthening combat equipment on the front lines. Ukraine will reportedly create robotic vehicle units to deploy on the front lines.

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense published a photo of a robotic vehicle with a gun mounted on it as the infrastructure was delivered via Telegram message.

Unmanned vehicles, especially aerial vehicles, have become the main type of weapon in the war since the Russian invasion in 2022.

Ukraine-Russia deploy tens of thousands of drones every month in the air. Ukraine is now replacing as many soldiers on land as possible by unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) with Ukraine's narrower labor reserves.

"The Ministry of Defense is launching a project that will increase the use of unmanned ground systems in the military," Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said.

The project is based on trials conducted in collaboration with the army since the summer of 2024.

Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov told Reuters in December Ukraine would need tens of thousands of unmanned robotic land vehicles this year.

Units on both sides of the war have used UGV, which is usually remotely controlled by pilots via camera.
