JAKARTA - Former Central Lombok Regent Moh Suhaili FT reported a woman from North Lombok with the initials KDV related to the alleged car vandalism case to the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police (Polda)

Director of General Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Syarif Hidayat in Mataram, Thursday, confirmed the report.

"Yes, I will first check the report," said Syarif, Thursday, February 6, as reported by Antara.

With the newly received report, Syarif admitted that he could not provide more complete information before first studying the report of the former Central Lombok Regent.

Suhaili's attorney, Abdul Hanan, submitted the report related to the car rental agreement which was the object of the case between his client and the reported KDV.

"In addition to the alleged vandalism, our client also reported that this reported theft and threats with violence," said Hanan.

He explained that the alleged crime incident began with an agreement by the complainant to rent a car belonging to LG Bima Alasta on August 3, 2024.

After receiving the vehicle which became a rental agreement with LG Bima Alasta, the reported came to the reporter on September 5, 2024.

Hanan said that at that time the reported came without reason and immediately threw harsh sentences and damaged the car rented by his client.

"Our client does not know what the motive is for doing this. Apart from destroying the vehicle, the reported party also took a certificate of land ownership that was stored in the car," he said.

For this act, his client had contacted the reported party to ask for accountability regarding the destruction and theft of land property certificates with losses of up to Rp70 million.

"However, the effort did not produce results. The contact number of the reported party could not be contacted. Therefore, our client chose to report the KDV to the NTB Police," he said.

In the report, Hanan said that his client also attached evidence in the form of a video of the reported car vandalism.

With this report, Hanan hopes that the police can immediately follow up legally in order to close the gap between the reported parties to return to criminal acts.
