Regarding The Efficiency Of The Government's Budget, The Minister Of Health Guarantees That Health Services Are Not Affected

JAKARTA - Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin ensures that budget efficiency at the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) is in line with the Presidential Instruction (Inpres) for the Efficiency of Shopping in the Implementation of the State Budget and the 2025 FY APBD will not have an impact on services for the people.

Therefore, according to Budi, the Ministry of Health cut the budget from ceremonial matters.

"What is clear is that all of us who are cut are related to meetings, official trips, ceremonies, celebration days, all 50 percent cut, we have cut it," Budi said at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, confiscated by Antara.

Based on government data, the Ministry of Health's budget is worth IDR 105.7 trillion for 2025 and based on the mandate of efficiency, Budi said that his party would make efficiency worth IDR 19 trillion.

The Minister of Health gave an example of one of the things that efficiency in his ministry does is related to official travel.

"Echelon I flies, don't use business class, right, just use the economy like journalists, if necessary the minister also increases Citilink so there is no business class. If the minister is in the economy, it's not good, it's not good at business class, so we just use Citilink to make it cheaper. Now that's okay too," said Budi.

Overall, Budi assessed that budget efficiency in ministries and institutions is a good step, especially to save budgets for activities that are not too substantial.

Meanwhile, for programs related to public services such as free health checks, the budget will be adjusted so that the smooth running of the program can be sufficient.

Previously, President Prabowo officially issued Presidential Instruction 1/2025 which asked for the government budget in the 2025 State Budget and APBD to be cut by IDR 306.69 trillion.

In detail, the K/L budget is requested for efficiency of IDR 256.1 trillion and transfers to the regions (TKD) of IDR 50.59 trillion.

On a separate occasion, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati explained, President Prabowo Subianto initiated a budget efficiency directive so that the state treasury could be used for programs that had a more direct impact on the community.

He called Free Nutrition Food (MBG), food and energy self-sufficiency, to improving the health sector as an example of the program in question.
