Bogor Street Festival Cap Go Meh 2025 Ready To Be Held, Present National Figures And Foreign Delegations

BOGOR Preparation for the Bogor Street Festival Cap Go Meh (CGM) 2025 has reached 90 percent. The event, which will be held on February 12, 2025, is scheduled to be attended by the Minister of Culture Fadli Zon and a number of other VVIP guests.

The Chief Executive of CGM BSF 2025, Arifin Himawan, revealed that the committee continues to coordinate with various parties to ensure the smooth running of the event.

"Preparation is almost final. We continue to coordinate, including with PLN, and will hold a big meeting with the committee and performers on Friday. We are also waiting for the coordination meeting schedule initiated by the police," said Arifin, Tuesday, February 4 evening.

A number of important guests are scheduled to attend, including Sinta Wahid, wife of the late Gus Dur. The committee is also still waiting for confirmation of the presence of the elected West Java Governor, Dedi Mulyadi, and Elected Mayor, Dedie A. Rachim.

"We hope this momentum can be a new beginning with new leadership, both at the national and regional levels," added Arifin.

From abroad, delegations from Taiwan are certain to attend. The group of around 70 to 90 people will arrive in Bogor on February 11, 2025 and feature two typical cultural performances, namely the Eight Gods of War and Dewi Matsu. After the event, they are scheduled to continue their journey to Bandung.

The 2025 CGM celebration carries three main visions, namely cultural preservation, development of MSMEs, and increasing the tourism sector. In supporting MSMEs, the number of tents provided increased from 80 to 110 tents, which were given free of charge to selected business actors.

Meanwhile, the Acting Mayor of Bogor, Hery Antasari, stated that the Bogor City Government also gave full support to the organizing committee.

"All preparations are running smoothly, and hopefully this year's Bogor Street Festival can be more lively, and strengthen the symbols of diversity, togetherness, and tolerance that have become the hallmarks of Bogor City," said Hery.

The municipal government also ensures that the relevant regional apparatus will provide technical support and collaborate with the 2025 CGM BSF so that the event runs optimally. This annual event is not only a cultural celebration event, but also part of the Bogor City tourism icon, which is expected to attract more tourists and have a positive impact on the regional economy.
