Allegedly Triggered By Infidelity, KKB Burns School Building And Village Office In Puncak Papua

JAYAPURA - Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani said the KKB led by Kalenah Murib and Tenius Kulua, burned four buildings in Kelemame Village and Pasir Putih Village, Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua.

The buildings that were burned were two elementary school buildings and village offices in the two areas on Monday (3/2) afternoon.

The arson was discovered after Sinak Police personnel together with the Cartenz Cartenz 2025 Ops Task Force received reports of arson in the two villages, said Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, Tuesday, February 4, quoted by ANTARA.

The arson was allegedly triggered by a dispute due to an affair among KKB members.

From the report received, it was revealed that the wife of one of the KKB conspirators Tenius Kulua was suspected of having an affair, causing a conflict that was later strengthened by the group led by Kalenak Murib.

The buildings that were burned were the Pasir Putih Village Office and the Kelemame Village Office and two Kelemame State Elementary School buildings.

"The actions carried out by the KKB are very brutal, because from personal problems it leads to damage and burning of public facilities, which makes people restless," said Brigadier General Faizal.
