Agustiani Tio Complains KPK To Komnas HAM Because It Is Prevented From Going Abroad

JAKARTA - Former member of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Agustiani Tio Fridelina complained to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to Komnas HAM. He felt that the request for a ban on abroad submitted against him was unfair.

Meanwhile, Agustiani was prevented from leaving the country in connection with the alleged bribery in the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the DPR RI which is being developed by the anti-corruption commission.

"I received criticism to go abroad for six months," Agustiani told reporters at the Komnas HAM office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday afternoon, February 3.

While crying, Agustiani said she had been released from punishment on April 23 in the same case. So, he questioned this prevention considering that he had to go abroad for treatment because of the cancer he was suffering from.

Agustiani said she had been treated in Guangzhou, China. Her pregnancy was even picked up there due to cancer.

"I have to come back again on February 17 for the operation that was in my intestines because it is feared that it will become the forerunner of cancer again," he said.

"Well, I didn't know I got a call to testify in December. Then I came, I attended on January 6 and January 8", he continued.

Agustiani said his condition was not even fit at that time. However, he still testified in the Harun Masiku case.

However, Agustiani was prevented from going abroad for treatment. He assessed that this condition could hinder the treatment.

It didn't stop there, Agustiani also highlighted the prevention abroad of her husband. She was surprised by the move.

"Suddenly at home there was a letter of delinquency against me and my husband, my husband had never even been a witness, you know. What's wrong with him? Is it even wrong if his wife is guilty and her husband must also be punished? My husband didn't follow anything, you know, why suddenly he was banned, instead it became a question," he said.

Receiving the complaint, Komnas HAM said the follow-up would be carried out. They will prioritize existing standard procedures and do not rule out the possibility of communicating with the KPK.

"The first Komnas HAM we respect the legal process carried out by the KPK and secondly we have received the complaint and we will first study the material for the complaint and the application from Mrs. Tio and her attorney to Komnas HAM," said Komnas HAM Commissioner Uli Parulian Sihombing at the location.

"We are to follow up on this complaint in accordance with the existing SOP, we will first enter this field of complaint to study the substance and later we will determine the next steps," he concluded.
