The appearance of a Sumatran tiger in the plantation area of residents in Pemangku I, Pekon (village) Kubu Boat, Balik Bukit District, West Lampung Regency, has again disturbed local residents.
The supervisor of the West Lampung Regency Conflict and Human Task Force, Sugeng Hari Kinaryo Adi, said that due to the appearance of wild animals, joint officers consisting of the TNI and Polri, the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (TNBBS) and the Pekon apparatus evacuated residents around the area where tigers appeared.

The appearance of the tiger was first reported by residents on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at around 16:01 WIB in a plantation because it preyed on pet dogs belonging to local residents.
Due to the appearance of these wild animals, he appealed to people in West Lampung Regency to increase their awareness of the presence of tigers that can attack residents, especially when in gardens.
"I suggest for the safety of residents who live in Umbulan or Pemangku tubes for the time being to evacuate first, because currently these protected animals always appear and terrorize the community," he said.
He explained to avoid unwanted things so that people do not move from late afternoon, night to early morning, because at that time tigers were actively hunting.
