BPBD Bangka Deploys 20 Personnel To Help Search For Girl Who Was Attacked By Crocodiles

BANGKA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel), deployed 20 personnel to assist in the search for a child named Tina Ramadani (8) who was missing by a crocodile on the riverbank of BBP Air Anyir Pier, Merawang District.

"We dispatched 20 personnel to help the SAR team, Satpolair, and other parties, search for a child who was attacked by a crocodile on the riverbank of the BBP Air Anyir Pier, Merawang District, on Sunday (2/2)," said Head of BPBD Bangka Rusmansyah in Sungailiat, Monday.

Dozens of personnel who were prepared in the field, he said, were taken to the crime scene in stages or adjusted conditions in the field.

It is known that Tina Ramadani was attacked by a crocodile, said Rumansyah, based on the report of the victim's older brother on behalf of Ade Kuriniawan to the Sattrol picket personnel and the dock picket.

"From the report, the incident began when the victim was playing on the riverbank of the BBP Air Anyir Pier, Merawang District, Sunday, at around 10.45 WIB. Suddenly the victim was attacked by a crocodile and dragged into the river water," he said.

For the search for victims to run smoothly, he said, the BPBD team coordinated with other teams, such as teams from Basarnas, Satpolair, and other teams involved in the search.

"This tragedy is a lesson for the community to pay attention to and maintain or even prohibit if their children play by the river," he said.
