Investigate Motorcyclist Hit-and-Run Red Plate Boy In Duren Sawit, Police Meet Constraints Of Recording CCTV Buram

JAKARTA - The police are still investigating the man who was driving a red plated motorbike suspected of carrying out a hit-and-run and dropping a child from a motorbike in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta (Jaktim).

The investigation after a viral video shows a man riding a red plate motorbike carrying a child sitting in front of him. In the video uploaded by Instagram @kabar.jaktim, the man then kicked and dropped the child behind him.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Nicolas Ary Lilipaly explained that his party had problems investigating because the license plate number of the perpetrator's vehicle was blurry on the surveillance camera (CCTV) footage.

"It's still an investigation. From CCTV, the number plate is blur. So we are still investigating further," Nicolas said when confirmed, Sunday, January 28, as reported by Antara.

The police have also checked directly with the crime scene (TKP) as an investigation into the case that occurred on Friday, January 17 at noon.

Nicolas explained that a man with a red plate motorbike was suspected of hitting a boy in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.

After carrying out a hit and run, the man asked that this problem be resolved amicably. Residents asked the victim to be carried by the perpetrator to go to the victim's house together and solve the problem.

"In the middle of the road, the victim was shifted by the reported party so that the victim sat at the back of the motorcycle seat so that when it was at the end of the seat, the reported kicked the victim's left leg and caused gas so that the victim fell," said Nicolas.

When the victim fell, the perpetrator also had time to look back to see the victim, but the perpetrator immediately left the victim and disappeared.

"The reported party also had time to look back to see the victim, but did not stop and instead continued to drive his vehicle and disappeared," said Nicolas.

Nicolas said the witnesses at the scene also did not know about this incident because their position was in front of the perpetrators.

"The witnesses did not know about the incident because they were in the front position," said Nicolas.
