SUKABUMI - The Sukabumi Police's Indonesian Automatic Finger Indentification System (Inafis) team was deployed to the Regional Embezzlement Seaport (PLPR) Pier in Palabuhanratu District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java to inspect suspicious objects wrapped in plastic found by residents on Monday.

"We received information from residents regarding the presence of suspicious objects in the PLPR Pier area, then coordinated with the Sukabumi Police Inafis Team to examine the objects found by the residents," said Panit II of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Palabuhanratu Police, IPDA Mgs Irlansyah in Sukabumi, Monday.

The Inafis team, who was accompanied by Palabuhanratu Police personnel, immediately went to the location where the suspicious object was found and installed a police line so that no residents or people with no interest approached.

After lifting the package, it was opened and there was a jug in which an object was suspected to be a human fetus.

Then the team evacuated the jug and took it to the Palabuhanratu Hospital to find out whether the object was a human fetus or not.

"At the location of the discovery, we also had time to ask for information from a number of witnesses who allegedly saw someone deliberately throwing suspicious packages in the PLPR Pier area," he added.

After the results of the medical examination of the Palabuhanratu Hospital came out, it was found that the object was not a fetus, but a nascent baby string. Allegedly, the ari-ari rope was deliberately put in a jug and thrown into the PLPR Pier area.

On the other hand, Irlansyah appealed to residents not to quickly draw conclusions about unclear information, let alone upload it to social media.

Therefore, he emphasized the principle of prudence in providing information that was not yet clear, worried that slander and hoaxes would arise and could even make people restless.

It must be admitted, the news that spread in the community that the jug contained a baby fetus, but after being examined by a team of doctors, it turned out that the baby was newborn.
