JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India, to establish strategic cooperation in the digital field.

He made during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto during the commemoration of the 76th Day of the Republic of India, the MoU reflected the commitment of the two countries to accelerate inclusive and sustainable digital transformation.

The agreement includes the development of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), the development of public digital infrastructure such as digital identity, as well as improving human resource skills in the information technology sector.

Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid emphasized that this collaboration is a joint effort to connect humans, exceed geographical boundaries, and encourage innovations centered on community needs.

In addition, to ensure the successful implementation of the MoU, the two countries will also form a Joint Working Group that will monitor progress, overcome challenges, and formulate innovative solutions.

"This partnership is the key to answering global challenges as well as opening up new opportunities for future generations," Meutya said in her official broadcast on Sunday, January 26.

Meutya also added, a strategic step that brings together two Asian digital powers to create innovations that are relevant and have a real impact on the wider community.
