Kuningan Health Service ASN in Uniform Nyawer, Get Ready to be Examined for Disciplinary Rules

BANDUNG - West Java Regional Secretary (Sekda) Herman Suryatman asked the Acting (Pj.) Regent of Kuningan Agus Toyib to follow up on the ASN of the Kuningan District Health Service (Dinkes) as seen in the recent viral video.

"I have asked the Acting Regent to explore, then use an objective approach in accordance with the provisions of the legislation. In this case, there is Government Regulation Number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline. That's a knife," said Herman at Gedung Sate Bandung as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 24.

Herman asked Agus Toyib to investigate whether there was a disciplinary violation or not with the category of violation whether it was light, medium, or severe.

According to Herman, if sanctions are determined, they must be carried out in a balanced and objective manner, whether it is a light sanction in the form of a warning letter, moderate sanctions in the form of demotion of rank, or severe sanctions in the form of dishonorable dismissal.

"Even if there must be sanctions, it must be fair. There is already a PP regarding the discipline of civil servants. If it is included in a disciplinary violation, it is inappropriate, the deepening is with the staffing officer. It must be fair to the subjective," he said.

Herman himself regretted the incident, especially when it was suspected that the incident occurred while still at working hours.

In addition, Herman said the West Java Provincial Government also appealed to ASN in West Java not to carry out activities outside public services.

"We regret it because the duty of ASN to serve the public. Even though in a context we don't understand what the context is, we must be wise but must be firm," he said.

For ASN, he asked them to focus on the best service to the community.

"Things that are counterproductive, inappropriate, we urge you to avoid. The orientation ASN provides the best service to the community," he said.
