KPK Confiscates Mercy Car To Moge BMW Worth IDR 2.6 Billion In LPEI Corruption Case

KPK Director of Investigation Asep Guntur Rahayu said the big cars and motorbikes were confiscated from a private party named Bayu Suryo Adiwinata alias Romo. However, he admitted that he could not provide further information about the forced efforts that investigators had made.

"It has been mentioned earlier from Romo, he said. I also don't know his real name, but I got that information," Asep told reporters quoted on Wednesday, January 22.

"So it was confiscated from his place, Romo," he continued.

Asep said the vehicle was thought to have originated from the proceeds of a criminal act of corruption that was being handled. "Later we will see whether this is related to buying and selling or indeed being entrusted," he said.

In this case, the anti-corruption commission has also confiscated three Vespa worth IDR 1.5 billion and a Wuling branded car with an estimated IDR 350 million. A VOI source said this finding was obtained from the house of the former President Director of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) Tbk for the 2019-2023 period.

It is suspected that a suspect used the place to hide assets resulting from corruption. Still the same source statement, it is not yet known what the former director's interests are, so he wants to provide a place.

Diberitakan sebelumnya, KPK mengusut dugaan korupsi terkait pemberian fasilitas kredit dari Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia (LPEI). Penyitaan uang dan perhiasan sudah dilakukan setelah penyidik menggeledah sejumlah tempat di Kalimantan Timur pada 31 Juli-2 Agustus.

Jumlah uang yang ditemukan penyidik saat itu mencapai Rp4,6 miliar; 6 unit kendaraan; 13 buah logam mulia; 9 jam tangan; 37 tas mewah; dan 100 perhiasan. Kemudian penyidik juga mendapatkan barang bukti elektronik berupa laptop dan harddisk serta barang bukti berupa dokumen.
