Gianyar Regency Government Closes Ubud PARQ 'Russian Village' In Bali

GIANYAR - The Regency Government (Pemkab) Gianyar, Bali, closed the Ubud PARQ or known as the 'Russian Village' on Jalan Sriwedari, Tegallalang, Ubud, Gianyar Regency, Bali.

The closure was carried out because PARQ Ubud violated several Regional Regulations (Perda) of Gianyar Regency, and also based on the Decree of the Gianyar Regent Number 285/E-09/HK/2025.

"In the decision, the owner and or person in charge of the business are also asked to close their business," said Assistant General Administration of the Gianyar Regency Secretary, I Ketut Pasek Lanang Sadia, in a written statement, Tuesday, January 21.

The Gianyar Regent issued Gianyar Regent's Order Number 300/0189/POLDAM to I Made Watha as Head of the Gianyar Regency Fire and Rescue Civil Service Police Unit to supervise and secure the implementation of the Gianyar Regent's decision regarding the termination of business activities and the closure of the Ubud PARQ business premises.

The termination of business activities and the closure of the Ubud PARQ business premises, because it is not in accordance with the provisions of Article 19, Paragraph 3 of the Gianyar Regency Regulation number 15 of 2015, concerning public order and public peace and the Gianyar Regency Regulation, Number 2 of 2022 concerning the implementation of risk-based licensing.

Pasek Lanang Sadia emphasized that the closing action was based on existing law, especially the Gianyar district regional regulation.

"The closure is carried out in accordance with the laws and regional regulations of Gianyar Regency, and have gone through several stages," he said.
