JAKARTA - Acting (Plt) Head of the Jakarta Gulkarmat Service, Satriadi Gunawan revealed that the cause of the fire at the Satriamandala Museum, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta (Jaksel), was suspected to be due to a short circuit in the coffee heater in the kitchen room.

"The temporary assumption is that the short circuit from the water engine or coffee heater in the kitchen room," said Satriadi when confirmed, Sunday, January 19.

Satriadi explained that the incident was known to have started when the witness saw a puff of smoke from the basement culverts at 10.28 WIB.

Then when the reporter checked, a source of fire was found in the cooperative's kitchen room. Then the reporter contacted the Tebet sector office," he said.

A total of 11 units and 32 South Jakarta firefighters were deployed. As a result, the fire was extinguished.

Meanwhile, the Head of the South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syamsul Huda, confirmed that there were no casualties in the fire incident. However, the loss is still being collected.
