Homeless Boy Hit By Train, Victim's Father: Shouted But Didn't Hear

TANGERANG - A child with the initials MR (14) was found dead as a result of being hit by a train at the JPL 14 Railway Crossing, Jalan Bukit Duri Utara, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta (Jaksel), Friday, January 17, at 10.10 WIB.

"It's true, the victim died at the scene with an open head wound," said Tebet Police Chief, Kompol Murohih, Friday, January 17.

Murohi explained that the incident began when the victim was on the edge of the rail. However, without the victim's knowledge, the train passed by and eventually hit MR.

"Suddenly the victim ran towards the train line, from the direction of Manggarai Station with train number 1190, then witness 1 and local residents shouted at the victim but the train that passed with train number 1190 hit the victim, and the victim died at the scene," he said.

The victim's father, Endi Priyatno, said that when the MR incident was playing. He was shouted at, but did not hear it until he was caught on a train.

"Again playing, (my son) is not yet in school, has an abnormality that can't speak. He's been shouted at, he didn't hear it finally hit the hit," he said.

Due to this incident, the victim suffered head injuries. Currently, the victim has been evacuated and taken to the funeral home for burial.

"Immediately taken to the house," he concluded.
