Music Concert at B-Mart Cafe in Kemayoran Was Chaotic Because of Many Copets

JAKARTA - The music concert for the 'Feel Koplo' event at the B-Mart Kemayoran cafe, Jalan Letjen Suprapto, Central Jakarta, ended in chaos on Thursday night, January 16, 2025.

The chaos in the music concert was caused by one of the visitors who lost his cellphone because he was stolen. Visitors to the music concert then managed to catch the perpetrators until there was a riot.

F, one of the cafe visitors, admitted that he lost his cellphone. F said, not only did he become a victim, many other visitors also lost.

"It disappeared while inside the location. Many visitors apparently lost because of the event. The event exceeded the capacity of visitors," F told reporters, Friday, January 17.

The riots were then successfully suppressed after officers from the Central Jakarta Metro Police and the Kemayoran Police came to the location. Then the police dispersed the crowd of visitors to the concert.

As many as three suspected perpetrators of theft of cellphones were secured and taken to the Kemayoran Police for further investigation. The motive for the commotion allegedly occurred when the perpetrators of the theft were caught and secured by the masses.

Kemayoran Police Chief Kompol Agung confirmed the incident. Currently, the case is still being handled by the Kemayoran Police.

"We follow up according to professional regulations. We check what the permit is. There is music, is there a permit or not ?," he told reporters, Friday, January 17.
