Even 20 Polda Metro Police Officers Have Been Tried In The Aftermath Of Extorting DWP Spectators

JAKARTA - The National Police's Professional and Security Division (Propam) continues to hold a trial of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) regarding the police action that blackmailed the 2024 Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) audience. Until now, 20 police officers from the Metro Jaya Police have been tried internally.

"The National Police through the Divpropam Polri has taken firm action against suspected violators by holding an ethics trial that has been going on for several days simultaneously," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago, Tuesday, January 14.

Most recently, two suspected violators, namely Brigadier Hendy Kurniawan and Iptu Jemi Ardianto, were tried at the KKEP trial. They were found guilty.

Brigadier Hendy Kurniawan is known to be a former member of the Central Jakarta Metro Police. Meanwhile, Iptu Jemi Ardianto is the former Head of Unit 1 of the Narcotics Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police.

"Violators have arrested 2 Malaysian foreigners at the DWP event at Jiexpo Kemayoran who is suspected of drug abuse," he said.

"However, during the process of applying for rehabilitation of drug abuse perpetrators, it was not carried out through the Integrated Assessment Team (TAT) and there was a request for money in return for release," Erdi continued.

In the decision of the KKEP trial, both were sanctioned in the form of placement in a special place (pathsus) of the Provos Division of the National Police Propam Division for 30 days. In addition, punishment is also in the form of mutations in the context of demotion.

"The mutation is demotional for 8 years placed outside the function of law enforcement," said Erdi.

Previously, 18 members of the Polda Metro Jaya had undergone a KKEP trial. All were found guilty and sanctioned.

Three of them are Kombes Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak, AKP Yudhy Triananta Syaeful, and AKBP Malvino Edward Yusticia. They were sentenced to dishonorable dismissal or dismissal (PTDH).

In addition, Kompol Dzul Fadlan, Iptu SM, AKP Fauzan, and S received a demotion sanction for 8 years.

Brigadier FRS, Aiptu Armadi Juli Marasi Gultom, Bripka Wahyu Tri Haryanto, Brigadier Dwi Wicaksono, Brigadier D, and Bripka Ready Pratama, and Kompol Jamalinus Profit Pandapotan Nababan were sentenced to 5 years of demotion.

Then, Ipda Win Stone and AKP Rio Hangwidya Kartika were sanctioned for 8 years. Then, Bripka Ricky Sisite, transferred for 5 years, and Iptu Agung Setiawan, was sentenced to 6 years.
