Serdang Bedagai Police Arrest 700 Duck Thief Gang

MEDAN - Serdang Bedagai Resort Police (Polres), North Sumatra, arrested five perpetrators suspected of stealing 700 ducks in the area.

Head of Unit I of General Crime Unit of the Serdang Bedagai Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Ipda Ibnu Irsady, said the suspects arrested had the initials F (36), I alias W (28), S alias A (44), HI (31) and FS (36), all four residents of Serdang Bedagai Regency.

Irsady said the evidence confiscated from the five perpetrators was a gray pickup truck and eight baskets of duck baskets.

Previously, the victim Rosalina (58), a resident of Sei Bamban District, was in Bedagai checking the ducks on Tuesday (26/11).

At that time the victim was surprised because 700 ducks were no longer missing or missing, after which he reported them to the Serdang Bedagai Police.

"Based on CCTV footage or surveillance cameras, the duck incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, the perpetrator took the duck by leading it to the road," said Irsady.

The police conducted an investigation and gathered information in the field from the instructions they had obtained to arrest F on Wednesday (11/12).

"After that, the team carried out developments and arrested other suspects. From the results of the examination, the perpetrators had also carried out theft of ducks twice," he said.

The five perpetrators were charged with Article 363 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code with a penalty of seven years in prison.
