Ridwan Kamil Admits He's Still Busy After The Jakarta Pilkada: I'm A Lecturer And Architect

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta Number 1, Ridwan Kamil admits that he will remain busy after the Jakarta Pilkada so that he does not always have to carry out practical politics because there are still many activities outside.

"I am a very busy person, I am a lecturer, I am an architect, I am also still the curator of IKN. Yes, so loving this nation in many forms, it doesn't seem as if I have to go directly into practical politics," he said when met at the Golkar Party DPD office, Central Jakarta, Antara, Friday, December 13.

Kang Emil also explained that at first he entered politics because he was disappointed with what he felt when he became an ordinary person.

"I used to be a citizen who was disappointed with what we saw, we heard so that in the end I entered politics. That is the way we fight for our dreams. So, if we fight for our ideals, we can do politics without having to be called practical politics," he said.

Kang Emil also mentioned that there is no destiny in practical politics because it is his dedication to society.

"So, there's nothing in my mind, later there must be a certain position I entered politics, it's not looking for a job. That's the door I take to do service, before entering politics," he said.

He also added that after the Jakarta Pilkada he and Suswono would rest and return to their respective families.

"For us, there is no final word in service to the nation and state. Each of us will always have a sense of love, a sense of dedication and will always be in those spaces in any form. Because there are many doors to serve the nation and state," he said.

The candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Jakarta number 1, Ridwan Kamil and Suswono (RIDO) finally decided to accept the results of the DKI Jakarta Pilkada.

"Decided to accept the results of the Jakarta regional elections that have been determined by the DKI Jakarta KPU. We congratulate Mas Pramono Anung and Bang Rano Karno who will lead Jakarta in the next five years," said Ridwan Kamil.

Ridwan also thanked the two other pair candidates who competed in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

"Thank you for the competition which is a lesson and we also thank Mr. Dharma Pongrekun and Mr. Kun Wardana who also competed with us," he said.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) determined the candidate pair (paslon) for Governor and Deputy Governor number 3, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno or Si Doel to win the most votes in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada, namely 2,183,239 votes.

"By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I declare the certification report on the recapitulation of vote count results from each district/city in the 2024 DKJ governor and deputy governor election," said Chairman of the KPU DKI Jakarta Province Wahyu Dinata in a plenary meeting. Determination of the 2024 DKI Jakarta Governor Election Results, Sunday (8/12).

Pram-Doel was declared to have received the most votes, namely 2,183,239 votes, while the other candidate pairs namely number 1, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) received 1,718,160 votes.

In the third position of candidate pair number 2, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana won 459,230 votes.
