JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has given a warning to the Special Envoy of President Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman or Gus Miftah who went viral after saying harsh words to a tea ice seller named Sunhaji at an event. The Palace said Prabowo had great respect for the small people.

Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi regretted the behavior of Presidential Special Envoy Gus Miftah, who was contrary to Prabowo's principles.

Hasan said President Prabowo had repeatedly expressed his respect for the people who worked hard to find sustenance for their respective family lives.

"We emphasize here that President Prabowo Subianto has great respect and respect for anyone, against the small people, against street vendors, against fishermen, against farmers, against anyone," he said.

Hasan said Prabowo had a speech stating that he really respects street vendors, farmers, fishermen, and everyone who works hard to get out of the house.

Hasan said that apart from reprimanding, Prabowo also asked Miftah to apologize to Sunhaji. "The president has given a warning to the person concerned through the Cabinet Secretary to immediately apologize to Mr. Sunhaji, who may and may have been hurt because of yesterday's incident," Hasan said.

It said the president had received a report that Gus Miftah had apologized directly to Sunhaji at his home in Grabag, Magelang Regency.

"Mr. President has also received information that the Presidential Special Envoy has visited Mr. Sunhaji directly to Banyusari Village, Gerabak District, Megelang Regency, to apologize directly. And we also saw in various videos, Mr. Sunhaji has apologized for him," Hasan said.

He also hopes that family relations and friendship can be well established between the two. He reminded that this incident will be a lesson for the government and public servants to always respect others, especially the small people.

"Even Mr. Sunhaji stated that he wanted to see Mr. Gus Miftah to hold recitations also in his village in the Banyusari area. All of us, not only the special envoy of the president, took a very valuable lesson from this incident.
