PALEMBANG - The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) found victims of a jukung ship explosion in the Musi River, Palembang City, South Sumatra (Sumsel).

The victim was found not far from the location where the jukung ship exploded and also the Fuel Filling Station (SPBB) which is about 300 meters away. The victim was found dead.
In the search process, the joint SAR team was divided into several SRUs (SAR Units), where SRU 1 conducted surface sweeping using rubber boats and community boats, then SRU 2 conducted a sweep using RIB with a search area of up to 15 NM.
Currently, the victim has been taken to the Bhayangkara Hospital in Palembang City for further processing.

Previously, the Head of Palembang Police, Kombes Harryo Sugihhartono, explained that the tragic incident occurred on Monday (1/1) night at SPBB Apung Palembang when a jukung ship filling fuel oil (BBM) exploded.
