Rizieq Shihab Refuses To Be Examined In The UMMI Hospital Case, This Is The Reason

JAKARTA - Rizieq Shihab refuses to be investigated by investigators regarding the suspected case of obstructing the work of the COVID-19 Task Force at UMMI Hospital, Bogor. The reason is that Rizieq Shihab wants to focus on going through the legal process of two crowd cases only.

"Rizieq is not willing to be investigated," Rizieq's lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, told reporters, Saturday, January 16.

Aziz said that his client for now only wants to face the crowd cases in Petamburan and Megamendung. Rizieq did not want to give information about other matters.

"Yes, because he was already a suspect in two other cases, right in the Megamendung crowd and the Petamburan crowd which made him the first suspect and caused him to be detained," said Aziz.

"And that's why he wants to focus on these two cases," continued Aziz.

Rizieq Shihab should be examined as a suspect in a suspected case of obstructing the work of the COVID-19 Task Force at the UMMI Hospital, Bogor, Friday, January 15.

In this case, Rizieq Shihab was accused of Article 14 paragraphs 1 and 2 of Law number 4 of 1984 concerning Disease Outbreaks, Article 216 of the Criminal Code, and Articles 14 and 15 of Law number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations.
