The East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit is still pursuing a group of sharp armed men suspected of being the perpetrators of porridge abuse, Udin in the Tanjung Lengkong area, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta.

"We have been chasing the perpetrators since three days ago but have not met until now. We have carried out the process of making arrests," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed by VOI, Friday, April 26.

However, until Friday afternoon, the police have not succeeded in arresting the perpetrators of the abuser of the victims of the porridge trader which went viral on social media.

"Until now, the perpetrators are still running away. We have approached the family, parents and other families. If you know the whereabouts of the perpetrators, please convey to us for arrests," he said.

Kombes Nicolas confirmed that from the results of his investigation, when the incident occurred, the perpetrator was influenced by alcohol.

"That's a drunk person, an ordinary crime case. We are handling it," he said.

As is known, Udin, a green peanut porridge trader, was targeted by a sharp armed thug in RW 07, Bidara Cina Village, Jatinegara on Wednesday, April 24.

Head of RW 07 Bidara Cina, Mamat Sahroni, said that since several years ago the perpetrators had been reported for various similar vandalism cases in the community.

"It has been reported to the (Jatinegara) Police, to the (East Jakarta) Police as well. But there was no response, on the grounds that there were no witnesses," he said.

Mamat said the case of alleged destruction of meatball and chicken noodles trading carts, as well as the destruction of residents' houses by the perpetrators when they were under the influence of alcohol.

Udin's motive for destroying the trade cart was allegedly because the perpetrator did not accept being asked properly to pay an order for one portion of green peanut porridge for Rp. 5,000.
