A Year Has Passed, The Case Of The Murder Of Mother And Child In Subang Has Not Been Revealed, What Have The Police Done?

SUBANG - The West Java (West Java) Regional Police are still investigating the case of the murder of a mother and child in Jalancagak Village, Subang Regency, West Java, after a year the case has still not been revealed.

"Investigations are still being carried out," said Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, in Bandung, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, August 18.

The murder case is known to have occurred exactly a year earlier, namely on August 18, 2021. Mother and daughter, Tuti (55) and Amelia (23) were found dead in a car at their residence.

He confirmed that the police were doing their best to identify the perpetrators of the murder.

So far, he said, there have been as many as 122 witnesses being questioned regarding the murders of Tuti and Amelia. In addition, according to him, the police have also examined 216 pieces of evidence.

According to him, the police have also involved witnesses from forensic medicine, DNA experts, and mental health in the context of the investigation. However, he said, the police have not been able to reveal because they need to be careful in determining the suspect.

"If the expectations are from the victim's side, we also really feel and empathize with this condition, but the steps we are taking, investigators also cannot be careless in determining the suspect," said Ibrahim.

According to Ibrahim, now his party has allowed the victim's family to reuse the house that became the scene of the murder.

The reason is that during the past one year, the house was installed by a police line, because it was secured for the purposes of investigating a murder case.

Even so, he confirmed that his party had taken a number of pieces of evidence related to the murder case for investigation needs.

In addition, according to him, his party has also asked the victim's family not to change the condition of the house.

"Yesterday, it was conveyed not to change (the condition of the house)," he said again.
