Deputy Chairperson Of MPR: Give The Government Time To Present IKN Plans

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the MPR Lestari Moerdijat, asked all parties, especially those who disagree, to give the government time to explain various plans related to the relocation of the State Capital (IKN) to North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.

"I see that this is in progress and later how the socialization and the government or related stakeholders will provide a more detailed explanation to the public," he said in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, as reported by Antara, Friday, January 28.

Therefore, all children of the nation must be able to give time to the government so that it can explain clearly regarding the transfer of IKN to East Kalimantan.

According to Rerie, as he is familiarly called, one of the goals of the IKN transfer is to build the identity of the Indonesian nation and strengthen its position in the eyes of the world.

"So we should avoid these pros and cons," said Rerie.

The NasDem politician said the government had a big task in convincing parties who disagreed with or rejected the transfer of IKN to East Kalimantan.

In addition, he said, traditional and cultural approaches must continue to be intensified in the context of developing the new Nusantara IKN in East Kalimantan.

"Cultural and social approaches must be prioritized so that the benefits of the development can be felt by all levels of society," he said.

According to him, the socialization of IKN transfer should be intensified. The government is believed to have taken strategic steps in implementing it.

"I believe the government has prepared everything well," he said.
