OKU Deputy Regent Inactive Johan Anwar Dies At Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital Palembang

PALEMBANG - Inactive Deputy Regent Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Johan Anwar died at the Class 1 Pakjo State Detention Center Palembang, Sumatra, Monday, January 10, due to illness.

"It is true that a prisoner suspected of corruption in the name of Johan Anwar, Monday, January 10, at around 07.30 WIB, died at the Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital in Palembang," said Head of the Correctional Division of the South Sumatra Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Dadi Mulyadi, in Palembang, as reported by Antara.

He explained that the sad news was reported by the Head of Class 1 Palembang Rutan BO Situngkir.

Based on the report, it was stated that Johan Anwar bin H. Nang Agus was a KPK prisoner who was being screened because he was sick.

Detainees were dibartarized based on the determination of the Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number 50/Tuaka.Pid/Pen.24/VIII/2021 concerning the granting of a permit for detention.

Based on the judge's determination, the KPK has ruled against the Supreme Court Judge's determination with letter No. 618/TUT.01.10/24/08/2021 for the implementation of treatment in hospitals starting August 18, 2021 until he is declared cured.

Inactive OKU Deputy Regent Johan Anwar's death is still in the process of being dismissed by the KPK.

Based on information from the deceased's family, his body will be buried in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, said the Head of the Correctional Division.

Meanwhile, the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru, when he heard the sad news, immediately took the time to pay a visit to the Siti Khadijah Hospital to pay respect and moral support to the family of the late Johan Anwar.

In addition, the Governor also led the release of the body of Deputy Regent Ogan Komering Ulu from the Siti Khadijah Hospital in Palembang to the funeral home in Baturaja.

The plan is that when the body arrives in Baturaja at around 15.00 WIB before the Asr prayer, it will be sent to Baturaja Hamlet for the funeral prayer at the local Muhammadiyah Mosque.

Furthermore, the body of the Deputy Regent Ogan Komering Ulu was taken to the district house for a funeral ceremony to be carried out and immediately dispatched to the Tanjung Baru Village TPU, the local district.
