Police Investigate Viral Video Alleged Rape Experienced By Clinical Nurses In South Jakarta

JAKARTA - A nurse at a health clinic in Jakarta was reported to have been raped by a GoCar driver in the South Jakarta area.

After the case went viral on social media, the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately investigated the alleged rape case.

"From our search results, the victim has not made a report to the police. But we will still carry out a thorough investigation and pick up the ball related to the case", said South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief, AKBP Ridwan Soplanit, when confirmed, Saturday, December 18.

According to Police Chief, the police already know the identity of the person suspected of being the victim of the rape. The victim, he continued, worked at a clinic, where at this time the police have also moved to clarify the alleged case that went viral on social media to the victim.

"We got information that he (the victim) is in a clinic or hospital, we are checking first, okay?", he said.

Police Chief added that so far, based on information obtained by the police, the alleged rape case which went viral on social media was allegedly spread by one of the people who worked at the clinic.

The police will also provide clarification to the clinic in question for further investigation.

Previously, it was viral that there was an alleged rape case experienced by a nurse at the Ammarai Healthcare Jakarta clinic by a partner of Driver GoCar. This was conveyed by the Twitter account @ammarai_hc.
