Deputy Governor Of DKI Asks TransJakarta To Beware Of Early Shift Drivers: 3 AM Is Sleepy Time
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI, Ahmad Riza Patria, has asked PT TransJakarta to evaluate and take serious steps related to the accident in Jakarta's mainstay mass public transportation mode.
"We have asked the management in TransJakarta to continue to evaluate and take serious steps. Indeed, this accident is a common concern. We are waiting for the evaluation and the steps," said Riza Patria at the Jakarta City Hall, Monday, October 1.
Quoted from Antara, Riza Patria said that the TransJakarta evaluation is actually carried out routinely in all institutions, both from the DKI Provincial Government and BUMD, including the TransJakarta management. There were no accidents, regular evaluations were carried out.
"Especially if there is an accident," he continued.
Riza asked that the evaluation also includes the distribution of the working hours schedule for TransJakarta drivers. Moreover, the drivers are required to drive on a straight road with a parapet, the potential for fatigue is high, making them prone to accidents.
"We ask the TransJakarta management to continue to evaluate. Moreover, those who work in the first shift, from three in the morning, the hours are sleepy," he said.
