Convinced To Win Against Viani's Lawsuit, PSI: We Have Strong Evidence

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI PSI DPW Michael Victor Sianipar said he believed his party could win against a court lawsuit filed by his former cadre, Viani Limardi.

Michael said PSI had strong evidence that Viani had inflated recess funds in the DKI DPRD. This is what made Viani fired from his party.

"The lawsuit has been submitted to the court and our legal team has started to study it. But we are still optimistic because we have strong evidence and it is in accordance with internal party procedures," Michael told reporters, Sunday, October 31.

Michael said he was optimistic that the court process would not take too long. This is because the evidence that Viani has inflated recess funds is based on an internal examination conducted.

Although, previously the Secretary of the DKI DPRD (Sekwan) had stated that Viani's recess fund had not been inflated. In fact, Viani is said to have returned the remaining recess funds. However, PSI remains adamant about the results of their examination.

"I think it's a matter of perspective, okay. So, I will not comment on the income presented by Sekwan. What is certain is that our data is sufficient, both during the last and previous recesses. We saw not just one incident," explained Michael.

For information, PSI fired Viani from her party membership because she was deemed to have inflated the recess funds. Disapproved, Viani sued PSI to the Central Jakarta District Court.

In the attachment of the file, Viani Limardi sued Rp1 trillion to the Central Executive Board, the Board of Trustees, and the Regional Leadership Council of PSI. The lawsuit is registered with the number: PN JKT.PST-102021KJM dated 19 October 21.

Viani Limardi was well aware that this was not what she really wanted to do, but the accusations of inflating the recess funds really hurt her feelings.

According to Viani, the accusation of inflating recess funds is a form of slander that cannot be tolerated. "This has harmed my career, the name of my extended family, including residents of DKI Jakarta. The inflating of the recess funds is slander," said Viani.
