BTS Will Perform At JIS In 2022, Jakpro Prepares Advanced Sound System Support

JAKARTA - The Korean Pop (K-Pop) group from South Korea Bangtan Boys (BTS) plans to hold a concert at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in 2022.

This was stated by the President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Widi Amanasto when giving a speech during the visit of the DKI Jakarta Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD) at JIS, North Jakarta, Friday, October 22.

Widi said that JIS will be equipped with an audio system with advanced technology that supports large concerts.

"The sound system also uses echo, so if there's a BTS later, the BTS plan to perform is also possible next year, it will use good sound," said Widi as quoted by Antara.

The audio system is also supported by a closed room inside JIS so that the music sounds better than the concert at the Bung Karno Stadium (GBK).

"Our roof is closed, so the sound is very good, different from the one in GBK, because we use a sophisticated sound system, it has been calculated," said Widi.

Widi said Jakpro had established initial communication with BTS management and received a fairly good response.

"There has been communication, it's just the initial communication, and they actually have free time in a certain month next year," said Widi.

"Their response is that they are definitely interested in Indonesia, and not only BTS, so later we will hold an event every month. This is closed, so the sound is much better than the sound system that we made differently," he continued.

Besides being used as a ball game, JIS is also designed to hold other big events such as music concerts.

Currently, the progress of JIS development has reached 76.52 percent. The unofficial launch (soft launching) of the stadium will take place on December 10, 2021. While the grand launching or inauguration of JIS is scheduled to take place in March 2022.
