Holding Mural Festival 2021, The National Police Proves They are Not Anti-Criticism
Jakarta – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo invites the public to criticize the Police through mural art. The policy was conveyed by General Listyo Sigit in the context of the 2021 National Police Chief Cup mural art festival or competition, with the theme 'The Role of the Young Generation to Be Creative in Conveying Positive Information in the Time of the Covid-19 Pandemic'.
Sigit invites all contestants to produce mural works with sub-themes of criticism or input to the Police, both in negative and positive terms.
"This mural competition was held with one of the aims of providing a forum for freedom of expression for the community. So, the mural competition participants may later produce works of art in the form of criticism to the Police, both positive and negative, there is no problem," said Sigit to reporters, Wednesday, October 20.
According to Sigit, the contestants will be invited to express all forms of expression and their views on the Bhayangkara Corps institution.
Sigit emphasized that the National Police is not an anti-criticism institution. The reason, said Sigit, is that his staff highly upholds freedom of expression as is the democratic system adopted by Indonesia.

Therefore, Sigit actually expressed his gratitude and appreciation for those who have conveyed constructive criticism to the National Police (Polri) institution. According to Sigit, this will actually be used as evaluation material so that the Bhayangkara Corps in the future becomes what the Indonesian people want and aspire to.
"The National Police will never be anti-criticism. We will accommodate all constructive input, to be used as material for introspection so that it will become better in the future," said the former Police Criminal Investigation Officer.
The spirit of anti-criticism, said Sigit, has been inflamed since he brought the concept of Precision (Predictive, Responsibilities and Transparency to Justice) within the National Police. According to Sigit, the idea was born out of the spirit of change for the better for the Polri institution.
"The initial enthusiasm for carrying out the Precision concept to create a police force that is firm but humanist is still ongoing. In the process of getting better, of course, there are dynamics that develop. Therefore, all criticisms and inputs that are available will be used as evaluation material for the Police to be more professional and better," said Sigit.
