Jatanras Team Arrests Fugitive Civil Servant Killer in Palembang Who Was Buried By Cement Method
PALEMBANG - The violent crimes team (Jatanras) of the South Sumatra Regional Police arrested a suspect on the wanted list (DPO) for being the "mastermind" of the murder of a civil servant in Palembang on October 9, 2019.
With the arrest of suspect Ichnation Novari alias Nopi, who has been on the wanted list two years ago, the South Sumatra Police Jatanras team reconstructed the murder case in Palembang, Monday, October 18.
Head of Sub Directorate 3 Jatanras of South Sumatra Regional Police, Kompol CS Panjaitan, explained that the reconstruction that was held today was the second volume with 12 scenes.
During the reconstruction, it was revealed that the suspect Nopi and his two colleagues Amir (DPO/wanted list) Yudi Thama Redianto, the main perpetrators of the murder, had been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing a civil servant named Apriyanita in a sadistic way and burying her by casting cement.

The suspect, Nopi, who worked as a gravedigger at the Kandang Kawat Public Cemetry, Palembang, was the "brain" of the murder victim Apriyanita.
"We have been hunting for suspects for almost two years after fleeing to various areas after the incident on October 9, 2019", he said.
Meanwhile, one more fugitive is still being chased. Meanwhile, Yudi Thama Redianto (41) the main perpetrator of the murder has been sentenced to life imprisonment in a trial held by the Palembang Class IA District Court on 27 May 2020.
