Upset Of Slow Internet, A Man Is Desperate To Take An Axe And Then Slashes His Neighbor's Head For Suspected Network Thief

BEKASI – Accused of stealing a WiFi network, a man in Karanghappi, Bekasi, was struck by an ax by his neighbour. As a result, the victim's head and ears were torn. The incident was very clearly visible through CCTV footage which eventually circulated on social media.

Searching for information on this incident, it is said that the incident occurred on Monday, October 11, at around 06.30 western Indonesia time. The perpetrator with the initials EM (60) did not hesitate to vent his emotions by bringing an axe that was inserted into the motorcycle seat.

According to the video, the perpetrator took a motorbike and wore a helmet to the victim's house which was only 20 meters away. Then he banged on the fence of the victim's house named Lasdo. The victim left the house and at that moment the perpetrator entered the victim's yard and immediately attacked him.

The perpetrator tried to get out of the victim's house while holding an ax in his hand. One of the neighbors tried to intervene but was afraid because the perpetrator was carrying a sharp weapon. The suspect tried to run away from his motorbike. The victim, looks in pain while holding the left side of the head that is bleeding. Neighbors help Lasdo get to the hospital.

Furthermore, according to information from sources, the incident was confirmed by Sumianto (50), Head of RW 07 at the scene.

"It is true that this incident occurred in our neighborhood, RW 07, but at the time of the incident I was not there," said Sumianto to reporters, Monday, October 11.

Regarding the motives of the perpetrators, Sumianto also confirmed that the background of the incident stems from the perpetrator's frustration who felt that the internet network was slow because the victim had stolen it.

"Yes, the problem is because of that, stealing the perpetrator's WiFi connection," said Sumianto.

The perpetrator's WiFi internet network is often slow, then after checking there are names that enter the perpetrator's WiFi network.

"Yes, the perpetrator checked his WiFi network, when he saw (checked) there was a name for the network name that entered his WiFi, which became slow, then the perpetrator thought that the victim was Lasdo," he said.
