KSAL was accompanied by the Commander of the Indonesian Navy's First Fleet Command, Rear Admiral Arsyad Abdullah, Commander of the Indonesian Navy-Marine Corps, Major General TNI (Mar) Suhartono. Accompanying him was the Commander of the Marines I, Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Hermanto, the Bangka Belitung Police Chief, Inspector General Anang Syarif Hidayat, and the Governor of Bangka Belitung, Erzaldi Rosman Djohan.
According to the KSAL, the exercise involved 100 personnel from the Indonesian Navy's Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion and lasted one day, as part of a series of Indonesian Navy amphibious operations in Dabo Singkep, Riau Islands, which will be held soon.
"However, on this occasion, we will hold a partial exercise first before a larger exercise will be carried out", he said.
The KSAL stated that the special forces landed from the top of KRI Semarang-594, which anchored three nautical miles from the shore of Tanjung Kelayang Beach, Belitung.

In the operation, continued KSAL, the special forces of the Indonesian Navy-Marine Corps must carry out this quietly and with full secrecy so that enemy targets can be destroyed and the mission can be completed properly.
"It's like the troops landing with rubber lifeboats, why did the rubber lifeboats because of the secrecy factor, the engine was turned off and using oars and actually the landing was carried out at 02.00 WIB", he said.
KSAL hopes that the combat capabilities and professionalism of Indonesian Navy soldiers will continue to increase. "Because Army soldiers must remain ready and capable in any condition and anywhere", he said.
